Writer: Newsmakers with JRNewsmakers with JR

At post time, there are still spots available for a COVID-19 webinar with Cottage Hospital Emergency Medicine physician Dr. Jason Prystowsky, this evening (Wednesday 3-18-20) at 6 p.m.

Those who register may submit questions to be answered by Dr. Prystowsky as part of the presentation, which will include up-to-date information and statistics from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and California Department of Public Health (CDPH) guidelines.

“Our community is scared and needs to be informed," Prystowsky said. “People will rise to the occasion and show us what they are made of. We in Santa Barbara are strong, compassionate, and resilient."

Registration is limited to 1,000 participants. A recording of the webinar will be made available through social media at a later date.

The event is sponsored by the community education group SPARC (Sparking Political Action, Response & Change).
